Located at the heart of the tour route, this place steeped in history exudes a friendly atmosphere.
The former commander of the fort had named this place Konkordiaplatz, by analogy with the Aletsch Glacier and its Konkordiaplatz.
This intersection, where four corridors met, was the only space in the Fort large enough to hold the morning assembly and carry out “internal service” (maintenance of weapons and personal effects).

During the low season, the Bistrot du Soldat only accepts groups (booking required).
At Le Bistrot du Soldat, the tables are arranged in the same way as they were in the old days, when soldiers used to eat their meals here. You will find mainly two-seater tables. If necessary, we can add an extra stool to each table to accommodate one more guest.
It is now the ideal place for groups (of 20 or more) who wish to organize a coffee break or an aperitif to complement their visit to the Fort de Chillon Museum.
